I am interested in ecosystem processes, their mechanisms, and the role they play in managed landscapes. I like to conduct basic research to address applied questions, with the goal of improving conservation and management. Broad interests include understanding the interactions that structure ecosystems, biodiversity, and ecosystem change at broad scales.
I am employed as an assistant professor within the College of Forestry and Conservation at the University of Montana.
